Deko is a name of the dog. Tabe is the owners last name.

Photos 1-1, 1-2, 2-1, 2-2, 3-1, 3-2 show Deko on presentation to Hospital 21. Deko is an 11 year old Pug that first came to our hospital on the 23rd of April, 2011. He was on thyroxin and antibiotics based on culture and sensitivity test. Deko was given an initial medicated benzyl peroxide based shampoo followed by a new cleansing technology based on micro-bubbles. Micro-bubbles penetrate into hair follicles and skin pores helping to remove matter from within the skin. Treatments utilize plant based enzymes and last for 15 minutes. Virbac was applied post treatment for moisturization. The Benzyl Peroxide shampoo is slightly acidic(PH 5) and provides antibacterial benefits.

Full Timeline

March 26th 2011.
Deko has been presented for examination in relation to a chronic and debilitating skin condition. He had been prescribed antibiotics, steroids and an oral skin supplement, but the condition has not improved. His owner decide on a second opinion. The dog had extensive folliculitis and pustular dermatitis with crusting of the head and back area. There was extensive seruminous discharge that had dried over the areas primarily affected. There were two primary areas of alopecia with infected and reddened skin. We blood tested and confirmed ypothyrodism. Skin scrapings were done to rule out sarcoptes scabiei and demodex olliculorum. Even though scrapings were nagative ivermection was administered by injection. Additionally 20mg/kg of thyroxin BID was prescribed. We also did a culture and sensitivity. Antibiotics were accordingly changed and we began structured reductions in steroid administration.
